Divorce is the tearing apart of a family and perhaps even more ugly with high income domestic dissolution. These are becoming all to prevalent in Madison CT. In too many cases especially with high net worth individuals, the children become  pawns in a very expensive chess game. I have spoke with various high net worth couples, and in most cases they confess that they used to their children as bargaining chips.

This should be avoided. Children are priceless and as such should NOT be used as a bargaining chip. Your children will thank you in the long run and you probably would rather have the pure love of your children over that extra 30,000. Or at least I hope you would prefer love of money.
